Future job………:
Ok, here we go again with a question I have no answer for…
I have no idea what job I would like to have, actually i´m
much more clear on what job I wouldn´t want to have… I have not taken any major
neither
Well, assuming studying law means a job related to that.., I
just know that I wouldn´t want to work on a private study, or be a notary, both jobs I´m related to because of my dad
I like nothing too practical, i´m much more interested on
theory, so , I would consider that; I would like to work on something more
related to that.., like .. making studies, investigations or whatever..
It might be weird specially because of how “painfully”
practical the career gets while passing the semesters.., but I didn´t get on it
because I wanted to be a lawyer, i did it because they are a lot of lawyers in
my family and well.., they just convinced me law study helps you think the
world in a certain and very useful way, and from that you can end up doing a
lot of things in a lot of different areas, so that would be the job I like…,
pretty undetermined right now
Even though, if I end up working on something related specifically with laws, I would like to work
on criminal law, or public law at least (don´t know the specific area of it..)
On a job interview, I would say my strength is my weakness
at the same time, i´m passionate on what I like…, but have no problem with not
doing my best on what I don´t..
I think research is a very important area of our careers, even though I haven't heard a lot that idea. It's important because without the doctrinal part, there can't be a practical one.
ResponderEliminarMaybe you could be a teacher! They get to do a lot of research, travel a lot and just study what they want. Plus, you can pass that knowledge on :)
ResponderEliminarWow, it's great that you don't want to be a lawyer. As you said, there's a lot of lawyers, not only in your family, but in the whole country (and maybe in the world), we need Chilean Harts and Kelsens, or a new Andrés Bello (in a woman version, obviously xD)
ResponderEliminarIf you like theory, you can work in a Research Team connected with experts, write columns and books (be a teacher as Paula posted you before me).

ResponderEliminarAll of us have taken moral philosophy, and introduction to law, so we have a lot of theory in our career. I also want to do research, so that we have more doctrine to make new law stusants suffer even more xd
ResponderEliminarYour family is right about this profession gives you a way to look up the world different, and that is really priceless, Nobody can fool you, and you can have a critical point of view about pretty much everything that goes around this world.
